I am a security and cryptography researcher specializing in robust access control mechanisms and privacy-preserving technologies. Since 2025, I have been conducting research at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University (FI MUNI) with Prof. Matyska. My current work focuses on improving the usability of layered key encryption to provide strong cryptographic access control for large-scale datasets with minimal overhead, specifically addressing vulnerabilities in existing approaches such as the removal of access rights upon user departure from a system. Furthermore, since 2024, I have been involved in research and development regarding sensitive genomic data protection in collaboration with CESNET, focusing on Crypt4GH encrypted containers primarily for the Invenio RDM platform.
My background includes over two decades of experience as an independent security and cryptography researcher, encompassing both academic inquiry and industrial application. Since founding Trustica in 2002, I have developed various solutions for securing complex data environments. In addition to my primary research areas, I have been involved in Programming Language Theory (PLT) since 2015, with a particular focus on the Racket programming language ecosystem.

Research
- Pantůček D., Addressing zero angular resolution in force-directed graph drawing using repulsive forces between nodes and edges, Submitted to Computer Graphics Forum, 2018
- MSc. Thesis (with distinction) - Methods for enhancing force-directed graph drawing algorithms were investigated as part of my Master’s thesis under the supervision of doc. Radek Honzik, Ph.D., focusing on addressing the problem of zero angular resolution in the "spring" model. It is explored whether the inclusion of a repulsive force between nodes and edges that are unconnected to those nodes can mitigate this issue and improve the clarity of graph visualizations. A summary of these findings is provided in the attached unpublished article. 2017
- Bc. Thesis (1st class honours) - Security aspects of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) were evaluated with respect to established standards as part of my Bachelor’s thesis under the supervision of Jorge Carrillo, Ph.D. As an outcome, a framework was developed for deciding whether particular Cloud providers can fulfill the requirements defined by these standards. 2015
